January of
2002 was witness to a truly monumental occasion – the foundation of an elect
group of social philosophers and event planners now known as The Selection Committee
®. The original committee was composed of the following members:
Kevin Stoker Chancellor of Female
Relations
Jay Hart
President in Charge of Co-Ed Roadies
Tim Perkins
Secretary of Partying Down
Erik Finn (Ed)
Larson Director of the Players Union,
Jeff Gatzemeier Dean of Hotties
This motley
crew was later joined by
Thayne
Cullimore – Duke of Mitzvahs.
As a group, The Selection Committee ® performs a variety of
tasks including, but not limited to: the organization and orchestration of road
trips and other co-ed functions, the recruitment of choice female companionship
for various activities, community service, the strengthening of fraternal
bonds, and last – but certainly not least – the development and dissemination
of social theories and practices through astute social commentary. Emeritus
members of the committee now include: Jay Hart, Thayne Cullimore, and Jeff Gatzemeier. Each member has ascended into the ranks of the
Emeriti through marriage; given such the League of Wives ® has been created and
includes the following members: Arrion Hart, Melissa
Cullimore, and Tristen Gatzemeier.

All but Kevin
Stoker attended Skyline High
School and all
of the members attended the University of Utah. They were prominent members of their fraternity and all
of them served in the presidency of Sigma Gamma Chi, Phi chapter.
The Selection Committee is based out of Salt Lake City,
Utah, but the Committee has expanded to other states,
including Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, and has ties across the country.
